UNITY DANCE CLASSES
2024-2025
Dance classes in Unity are held on Thursdays at Unity Elementary School with Cassie’s School of Dance/Thomas School of Dance.

3:30-4:15 Ongoing Preschool Combo 3 -5 not yet in Kindergarten
4:15-5:00 Ongoing Youth Tap/Ballet Combo Ages 5-6 & New 7 yr olds
5:00-6:00 Ongoing Youth Tap/Ballet Combo Ages 8 and Up & Returning 7 yr olds
6:00-6:45 Ongoing Youth Hip Hop Minimum age 5
6:45-7:30 Ongoing Teen/Adult Contemporary/Lyrical/Jazz (Ages 13+)
7:30-8:00 Ongoing Teen/Adult Tap (Ages 13+)
8:00-8:30 Ongoing Teen/Adult Hip Hop (Ages 13+)
8:30-9:00 Ongoing Teen/Adult Ballet (Ages 13+)

Please note that classes in Unity have their own pricing and do not follow the same calendar info as our Bangor classes.
We are pleased to be able to offer convenient classes in Unity at a discounted rate.
Three equal monthly tuition payments for ongoing (non-workshop) classes will be due in September, October & November.
December’s tuition will be adjusted based on how many class weeks are actually held over the fall.
Dress Code for Youth Classes
We sell Mary-Jane and Oxford style taps for youth as well as ballet shoes for youth and adults at our location in Bangor. We also have a selection of youth through adult leotards and tights in a variety of colors and styles.
Dance With Me and Young Preschool
Dancers should wear a leotard and tights or leggings and a t-shirt and leather or canvas ballet shoes. Long hair should be pulled back.
Preschool Combination
Girls should have a leotard and tights. Skirts, legwarmers and sweaters are optional. Girls need black Mary-Jane style tap shoes and pink ballet shoes. We recommend and sell a Mary-Jane style tap shoe with a quality tap and a quick velcro closure. Boys should wear plain t-shirts and shorts or dance tights/dance pants/leggings and black tap and black ballet shoes. Hair should be secured out of face; long hair should be pulled back. Small stud earrings only may be worn for jewelry.
Combination Tap/Ballet Levels 1-3
Girls should have a leotard and tights. Skirts, legwarmers and sweaters are optional. Girls need black Mary-Jane style tap shoes and pink ballet shoes. Contemporary/Lyrical
Students should wear a solid color leotard and solid color bottoms such as leggings or jazz shorts. All dancers should have flesh tone ballet slippers. Males should wear black dance tights and a t-shirt. Hair should be secured out of face; long hair should be pulled back. Small stud earrings only may be worn for jewelry.
Hip Hop
Comfortable clothing. Jeans and street shoes are not allowed. Non-marking indoor sneakers, dance sneakers or dance boots may be worn for class. Dancers will need solid black non-marking indoor sneakers for performances (black soles, solid black uppers).
Irish
Students should wear a leotard and tights or tops and solid color bottoms above the knee. Leggings are also acceptable. Hair should be secured out of face; long hair should be pulled back. Small stud earrings only may be worn for jewelry . Youth Beginner/Continuing Beginner Irish students will need black soft shoes; these can be black ballet shoes, black jazz shoes or traditional black ghillies.
Adults
Our dress code does not apply to our adult students. Adults may dress in comfortable clothing. No street shoes are allowed on our dance floors. Non-marking dances shoes/sneakers only.
